Background
Complex Philippines is the local edition of Complex, the global youth-culture platform, brought to the country by Kroma Entertainment. It is less a publication than a community sitting at the convergence of Filipino youth culture. The Complex international team provided the design; the build was ours.
The challenge
We had to take the international team's design and make it technically sound for the Philippine market, fast, responsive, and built to perform in search, without compromising the look.
Our approach
We worked closely with Kroma to translate the provided designs into a full front-end and back-end build. We handled quality assurance and content curation, and optimized the site for speed and search so it would hold up under a young, mobile audience.
The result
Complex Philippines launched as a fast, responsive platform faithful to the global brand, and now serves as a growing home for Filipino youth culture. We continue to support it.
